South Sea pearls are among the rarest and most valuable pearls available and are created by the gold-lip oyster variety of the Pinctada maxima, the largest pearl oyster in the world. Found only in the warm waters of the South Seas, this oyster lives and grows its pearls in the wild, making production extremely limited. South Sea pearls come in a variety of colors, and all are highly prized for their size and captivating luster. Ranging in size from 13mm to 15.5mm, these pearls are secured by an 18K yellow gold ball clasp studded with diamond accents.
