A rare example of Tiffany & Co.’s most imaginative Art Deco creations, this pictorial bracelet unites exquisite craftsmanship with a narrative aesthetic inspired by painted Asian scrolls of flora and fauna. The bracelet is composed of four octagonal panels, each with a stylized bird perched on a branch, rendered in rose cut and old cut diamonds and accented with black enamel beaks, eyes and feet. Two birds rest beside diamond fruit, while each presents a unique pose and silhouette. The diamond scenes are bordered by rectangular cut blue sapphires and framed by additional diamonds, creating a striking architectural composition.
Between each octagonal tableau, seven rows of rectangular cut sapphire links mimic courses of masonry. The bracelet is accompanied by its IAJ report. The bold interplay of blue and white reflects the iconic two-color palette favored by Tiffany & Co. during the 1920s and 1930s. Set in platinum.
