Renowned for their soft iridescence, radiant luster and impressive size, South Sea pearls are formed by the Pinctada maxima, the gold-lipped oyster—the largest pearl oyster in the world and the only species that consistently produces pearls of this caliber. Found in limited numbers in the warm waters of the South Pacific, these pearls are exceptionally rare and highly prized.
