Details
A monumental 13.24-carat untreated Paraiba tourmaline makes a bold statement at the center of this ring. Exhibiting the trademark blue-green hue, the gem is certified by the American Gemological Laboratories as being entirely natural and Brazilian in origin. Since the majority of these stones have been heated for clarity enhancement, to find an untreated stone of this size is exceptionally rare. Set in platinum, the oval mixed-cut gemstone is enhanced by diamonds totaling 2.42 carats.

Only first discovered in 1989, the Paraiba tourmaline is one of the world’s rarest and most vibrant gemstones, and they have only been found in the copper-rich mines of Brazil, Nigeria and Mozambique. It is thanks to their rare chemical composition that these gems owe their spectacular coloring and brilliant glow that appears to light the stone from within.
